I am inquiring about 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS. I have been on the hunt for this gem.These cars are truly amazing and that 409 was a marvel for its time and still is today. Chevrolet built it right! Finding that original Impala is becoming difficult and at times frustrating.

Can anyone suggest some other avenues I maybe neglecting?
Is anyone considering selling their Impala ? (SS is a dream not a must)
Does anyone suggest going to the auction?

The 1962 Chevys are some of the best looking of all. Those lines are clean and simple. The look like the are meant to be on the road and not in an art gallery or resemble an altered jelly bean (like too many today)..

I totally agree with you. I guess this is why I am struggling to find one. Dealers are asking upwards of 80k. In my search I came across many other years, i might have to get a 65 Impala that was priced well and very original for the time being.

That 65 Impala is nothing like a 61-62-63-or 64. Changes in 65 do not begin to compare with the earlier years.
