Not to judgemental... but why is F.O.R.D. censored? Seems a little silly to me.

It's just done tongue-in-cheek. :)

Yes, it's intended to be a little joke that a lot of people don't discover until after they've been here a while. Hint: There's also a couple of other humerous items that show up if you go down the wrong path, too.

All meant in good fun. ok

I thought **** or F*** was just what we individuals did when posting in a Chevrolet forum.
Come to think of it I have never seen D*****, or P*******,C****** in this forum, is there some kind of automotive racist attitude going on here?

The little joke does get a little tedious after it bites you a few times. Maybe we should have a contest on how many ways you can spell F@rd. Foord, Fjord, F*rd, Fo*rd, Forrd, etc.

Dorf!! That made me really chuckle... we once held a meet (about 15 years ago) and everyone had to stop their cars at a checkpoint and get their "passport" stamped. We called the the widespot in the road "Checkpoint DORF". A lot of people didn't get it.

Thanks Skipper. I hadn't heard that term in a long time!
Posted By: Junkyard Dog Re: word sensoring - 06/11/04 05:10 AM
Glad that you liked "Dorf" and that it brought back memories. When I worked for the local gas company many years ago, the truck assigned to me was a stupid F O R D Courier. I hated that thing and I didn't want the dudes that knew me seeing me drive around in a F O R D. So, since the individual letters on the hood were all interchangeable, I switched the "F" and the "D", and from that point on, and until the truck was taken out of service many years later, I was driving a "Dorf". It fit that stupid truck very nicely! When that truck was retired, they gave me a brand new Chevrolet S-10, so I no longer had to drive a "Dorf"! yipp dance drink drink laugh laugh
