Can anyone show me the proper set up for all the horn parts that go on the steering column of a '25 touring? Can't find anything in the service mauals about the horn system.

Here goes a description.
I have the early '25 model with the control levers up under the steering wheel.
1. First there is the tin button over which the outer cover sleeve fits and is held to the steering wheel by two set screws.
2. Bearing against the under side of the button is a wire "U" staple with legs about 1 1/2" long that locate into the two holes in the steering wheel hub.The staple is flat across its top and the width is the same as the distance the holes are apart.
3. Next, fitting up on the under side of the staple is a tin disc washer the diameter of which loosely matches the inside diameter of the tin button. It also has two grooves in its outer edge to accomodate the legs of the staple.
4. Finally there is a coil spring that locates one end in the centre hole of the steering column, the other presses against the centre of the disc to keep the whole assembly pushed fully up into the outer cover sleeve first mentioned.(A biro spring fits well if you have not got the original).
5.Pressing down on the button moves the staple legs down in their holes to touch the live contact ring located in the steering column outer casing under the steering wheel. Earthing is gained through the staple via the tin button to the steering wheel and then via the center column, so do not paint the inside of the button, or the staple.
Hope this is helpful.

That is about as good as it gets for a description of the horn button on the 1925 Chevrolet. Bravo!
