I have a fresh 1935 207 engine that I would like to use in my 1932 3 window coupe. Is this a possible can of worms??. or a possible easy swap ??. Thank You ALL !!! Hot Pockets

Hi Hot Pockets:
In 1954 I had a perfectly good running 1930 sedan. A high school buddy had a very fresh short block 1937. He sold it to me for $10.
This was a great opportunity to double my horsepower. (get a good jump on those F***s across the intersection) I proceeded to perform the necessary surgery. Motor mounts lined up perfectly, except that they had to be metal to metal. No big deal. Just a little more vibration.
There was no way that the 30 tranny would fit the 37 engine. A neighbor across the street just happened to have a 31 tranny that could be made to fit after my local blacksmith made an adapter plate out of 1/4" steel plate. The alignment of the pilot bearing was not clear into the flywheel, but I wasn't building a watch.
Fabricating the clutch linkage was a nightmare. Only one mishap. The flywheel landed on my face as I was trying to install it. The good news is that it landed on the bridge of my nose where my glasses absorbed the brunt of the impact.
Multiple trips to the local wrecking brought all the accessories necessary to make that short block long and running.
Did it work? Yes. Was it worth it? No! Did it make my car worth less? Yes! Was it a larger project that a high school junior should have undertaken? Yes!
I suggest that you really do your homework on this, Hot Pockets. Measure everything. Find a 1935 that needs an engine. It might be better to rebuild that '32.
Thanks for listening,
Leeboy

Leeboy has hit the nail on the head, any modification is a can of worms and sometimes a barrel of dangerous snakes having been there on several occasions (yes I am a slow learner) having done 3. There will always be the unforeseen brick wall.
