Help please. Is there a difference between a 6 volt fuse and a 12 volt fuse , ( is there such a thing ? ) or is it just amps we need to be concerned about. I know I am really dumb about electric. I got the radio working on my 1946 business coupe...( had a spare fuse, put it in fuse holder and touched other end to make contact , got a couple stations ! ) but the fuse was too long to fit correctly into the holder. Did some reading on earlier posts...seems I need a 15 amp fuse. Is this correct ? Do I need to be concerned about voltage or just the amps ? ? ? Thanks all

Fuses are amp only voltage doesn't matter,but they come in different lengths.
You must select correct length.

If it is an in-line fuse holder, it could just be stuck and needs a bit more presssure for the fuse to seat in. There are many sizes of glass cylinder fuses, 3AG is the most common auto type.

Thanks ! The one I tried is 1 1/4 " long...it needs to be about 1/2 of that length. Going to NAPA here in a few minutes. Will let you know.

If I remember correctly thay used a 14 amp mid length fuse.

As Chevynut stated according to the schematic it calls for a 14 amp fuse.

Got a correct fuse. Works great for a 71 year old radio !! I got 3 stations to come in ! Thanks all...it is awesome.
