Hello all,
My father bought a 46 stylemaster last February and we are having issues with the electrical system. I bought a brand new battery for it a couple of weeks ago. It died on us at a red light a couple of days ago. Recharged the battery, installed it, fired right up, I left it running for over an hour. It was starting to sputter but I just gave up. After I turned it off I tried starting it again and as expected there isn't enough juice for the starter. Second try the stater doesn't even engage. Voltage is at 6.2V now. While I ran it for over an hour I noticed that the charging gauge is barely over the middle dot. Revving the engine moves it a mm at most. Turning on the lights will make the needle shoot to the left and stay there. I own a voltmeter and can borrow other tools if needed. Where and how should I diagnose the system?
