I just joined VCCA, and was wondering if there was a region in the works for the Detroit area? The closest to me is Lapeer, which is too far a drive. Anybody perhaps know?? Thanks!!!

Yes the Lower Michigan Region, Director Michael McFarland, see the G&D for phone and meeting times, page 4 in the Feb. 2007 issue.

34 & 35 trucks are the greatest. 36 high cabs are OK too.

Since you are a new member of the VCCA you really need to check out the VCCA web site. Everything you need to know is there! Go here: www.vcca.org

Included as part of the web site is a list of the various VCCA regions around the country. Go here for a region near you:

wink :)

The Lower Michigan Region covers all of the lower pennisula. There are a bunch of members in the Detroit area. Then there is another region in the Toledo, OH area. The meetings are typically held in the Lapeer area but occasionally are held closer to Detroit. With the majority of members through out the lower half of the LP Lansing, Lapeer have been the locations for most of the meetings. We have been members for nearly 40 years and still find them a great bunch of folks even thought we are in deep "Southern Michigan".

The Lower Michigan Region has been having meetings north and west of Flint, (Near Montrose)February, March & April. The last Sunday of April we put on a Swap Meet at Monroe Co. Fairgrounds. I publish a monthly newsletter and have done so for the last 10 years. Our present Director is Phyllis Rickabus who lives near Lapeer. We have never had a meeting in Lapeer!
I am going to suggest a meeting be held in Brighton for April. Our meetings are usually the third Sunday of the Month and this information is in the newsletters. If you would like more info contact me.

The Glass Capitol Region out of Toledo, Ohio might be closer for you to attend meetings.

The Glass Capital Region is located in Toledo. Our meetings are usually the 4th Sunday of the month but occasionally we have a Saturday meeting. We always have good food. We do have a few members from Michigan, but mostly from the Monroe area. If you would like more information, please feel free to e-mail me direct @ ccufr@bex.net

Take Care, and I do recemmend the swap meet in Monroe.
