Anybody know how I could get in touch with Bob Lindberg? I have a 55 Pontiac Starchief Convertible and would like to contact him.

Thanks a bunch. My Pontiac sat in back garage for 15+ years. Spent the last 9 months redoing almost everything (rear leaf springs still to be done). JYD rebuilt my starter and generator.
Since I got it on the road on 7/27/05 I have driven it about 200 miles.

that's great...glad you've found renewed interest in driving the old iron...and you know you won't be having any problems with the starter or generator, they're better than new!..

UPDATE!

A roster has been completed of those dudes that attended the annual Junkyard Dog Adventure. Not everyone is listed since some did not want their addresses given out. All of the rosters will be mailed out via snail mail in the next couple of days. yipp

Those of you on Chevy Chatter that attended the annual adventure probably remember Harley Dude Joe. Harley Dude Joe was the one that set up the "Mystery Car Collection" tour. The morning after the annual JYD Adventure, Harley Dude Joe was admitted into the hospital for chest pains and lack of breath. After several tests it was discovered that he has one artery completely blocked and three others that are partially blocked. He will probably undergo surgery tomorrow. At this point it looks like stents will be installed. :( :(

If Stents are the only thing HDJ needs he should be fine.

I had 2 stents put in my heart after I collapsed in NYC in 1998 (I was 50 at the time.)
Ever since everything has been fine. Changed my diet, on medication, do a little more exercise and get various tests every 2 years.

Our thoughts are with him

Yes, best wishes for positive results for HD Joe.

MORE HEALTH NEWS....

I spoke with Bob Lindberg on the phone this evening about his 'other' passenger, Bob Heackhaus who became "ill" Saturday afternoon on the mystery junk car collection tour.

Apparently Bob is doing "OK." His doctor has told him to "take it easy" until they can do a CAT scan. It's "thought" Bob will likely need a stent or two.

If anyone has any additional info or updates on Bob Heckhaus "condition" I'd appreciate hearing it. I'd also appreciate it if JYD or others would convey "best wishes" to Heckhaus. PDX Joe and I just met him on this JYD Tour and we both thought he was a good guy. The same was said by others who met him for the first time on this "tour."

Bill.

I got home this morning and am feeling the efects of a excellent time had by many, myself included.
JYD please pass my regards and speedy recovery on to Harley Joe and Bob Heckhaus.
I thank JYD and his cohorts for their untold massive efforts in arranging the tour that I enjoyed immensly and dollars permitting will do again.
I also thank Sal and Craig for chaufering me for the tour.
Craig, I hired a car for the 2 days after the tour and returned it without a scratch, but came very close a couple of times.
Every one else I thank also for your part however small it may have been.
With any luck I will be arranging at least some of the photos that I took for all to see over the weekend.
Dave from Connecticut, sorry for tipping you out as the longest distance from home, no harm meant.
Tony

Apparently 'we' night owls are up too late for JYD, Kepi. Altho he's sometimes here at 630am type hours and I sure as heck ain't here THEN.

I'll be looking for some info from him tomorrow, Friday.

Twas 93 up here today. Absolutely beautiful day. Also noticed it was 97 in Medford. Just like last week, huh??

How's it in Marin County??

Yep, here I is! wink :p

Anyway, I heard that Bob is doing better so that is good news! Also, Harley Dude Joe was supposed to go to the hospital yesterday morning to get the stents installed. As he was going out the front door the phone rang and it was the hospital. They told him that there was a "glitch" with his insurance so they had to reschedule the operation for Monday at noon. He has to sit around and wait until then, and he was told to do absolutely nothing until his operation on Monday. :( :( :(

thanks, skip...that's good news about bob...and I guess it's good that they think joe can sit around for a few days before his procedure without undue risk...it's a backwards world when insurance companies decide when you get treatment and not the trained doctors...

Macky Wacky and Kepi Doodle: You guys are absolutely right! This whole system sucks, and the only ones that get treated immediately, if not sooner, are the dudes on welfare! mad mad mad

If stents are all that HDJ needs he should be home rather quickly. I had 2 stents put in around 11:30 at night on a Monday and was released the next morning at 8:30. Was back to normal by Friday. Worst part is the incision that is made in the groin. I have had toothaches that caused more pain than the entire procedure.

Skip. Don't know about your area, but on Medicare
I have the best cardiolgists in town. I've had the surgery and the stents, too. I just make an
appointment and if I'm having a problem, they see
me then...But, you have to lay the groundwork over
the years with checkups, etc...

PDXjoe, I'll have to agree Medicare A&B are much better for us than any PPO or HMO we had when we had a job and regular group insuarance. We choose our own doctors, and along with our Supplemental policy it has covered everything except the meds, the new precription coverage should save us a net of $300/year in our range of $1500 to $1750 per year each. So much for that deal.BARELY WORTH THE SIGNUP! of course it could help those paying up to $5000/year

For you dudes on Chevy Chatter that attended the 2005 Junkyard Dog Adventure, the rosters of those on tour were mailed out yesterday, so you should receive them in the next couple of days. yipp Except for Tonyw who will probably get his in a couple of weeks since he is in Australia, and Kepi Doodle in California who will probably receive his roster next year because of his lousy mail service! mad mad mad
