I have noticed on this site that you all take pride in the number of posts you've made. You get medals and ribbons and maybe even cetificates of merit? I'm wondering if you've ever thought of who gets "the last word in" the most? "The final say" You show the topic starter, how many replies and who posted last but who's the king of the "last word"? Could it be the JYD with over 8000 posts or is it some lesser known? Think of it "4000 posts-700 last word posts". You all know someone who has to get the last word in right !?But I guess "gettin in the last word" could become a contest and would be like the never ending "Best one liner you know" (or can make up)it just would go on and on and on...........of course around here it's my wife who always gets in the last word so it's no contest..really...fine... ok...whatever...

PAPA-K,

Sometimes the last word is spoken! I go on pretending hers was not the last word knowing full well it was.

Then sometimes the posting should be over; but the other poster is so slow it blows right over his head.

Later he realizes he has been had.

Its not about posts, its about fun.

and its not about being mean.

PAPA-K,

All I meant was some guys have no concept of humor or fun. Even if it hit them right between the eyes.

You know, the guys who say: "Was that a joke".

So now when I post a joke I say - (JOKE).

I think if we started keeping track of "the last words" this forum would turn into a spitting contest.

...if it hasn't turned into that already.

RGwiz, isn't that kind of what human nature leads to, king of The Hill, a horse race? I have noticed that on tours there is always a couple of members that think a tour is a race, get there firstus, and have the last word.

Next.....

Yeah Macky.
I agree most of us are competitive and that's a good thing. But how the heck does the first car to finish get the LAST WORD????
...and what does the last car get???? The first word????

ps. When ya ask a question, you never have the last word.

The person who asks a question often has the last word when he posts a thank you, but then again, there can always be a "You're welcome."

Or....as with most of us....saying "Thank You" or "You're Welcome" is just being polite and nothing else.

I always like to recieve a "thank you" or some acknowledgement when I give a reply. Not that I need the thanks but then I know the person saw the reply.I believe first timers often don't know how to find the reply if they look a few days later.

It seems like it's OK to say 'thanks.' Besides, as Gene says, that's a good way to let the guy know you 'saw' the answer or advice.

Sounds good to me..........

Believe it or not... Walmart does have some good brand names and stuff made in the USA. I drove MrsMack into Stephenville and we couldn't even park within 300' of the door today. We skipped them today and went to HEB for groceries. Anyone ever go to the Dollar stores? DOLLARTREE is my favorite, for orange degreaser, popcorn and peanut brittle, flashlight batteries. Not many USA products there.

This last word from my favorite female cuz...down in Houston....

According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female
reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the
beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December. Female reindeer retain
their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY
single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.

We should've known... ONLY women would be able to drag a fat-[bleeped] man in a red velvet
suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

So long as you dont drink too much of the high life and try to drive home afterwards. Here in aus more than 1 beer an hour and caught driving afterwards gets you a spell off driving for 3months and a lightened wallet for 1st offence. The 4th offence gets you a holiday in the pen and no licence for 5 years.

SHILLELAGH - An Irish fighting stick emerged sometime in the 17th century when the Irish were banned from owning formal weapons. At that time the innocent looking walking stick, or shillelagh came into use as a serious weapon.
In the centuries that followed, stick fighting became an integral part of Irish culture. It was used in faction fights, wedding fights and funeral brawls, and settling disputes.

The Shillelagh was carved from Blackthorn trees which carry mystical powers, luck, magic, and good fortune. Sometimes the head of this stick was loaded with lead to make it more effective.

The last word in self defense!

The last word I always get with my wife....Yes, Dear. This should just about finish this thread, I'll let it go another day or so then close it, and thus get the last word.

Ha! I was glad to see that orange colored lemon go bye bye, my daughter picked it out for a school car in 1976. When she married my wife drove it to work for 2 months and said "No more of those kind of cars for me", she traded it for a new Buick Le Sabre.

Oh, the last word was...."No more of those kinds of cars for me."

My own last word was "Ok honey, what ever you say."

I rarely get the last word , unless it is.." OK honey, whatever you say."

This thread has drifted away from the original subject again. I think I can close it without upsetting too many of you.

This also means I get the last word, at least in this thread.

Dan.
