This is a promo for Owens Chevrolet in Danville, Kentucky and their service manager, Roger Roy. The serpentine belt on my 2000 GMC was making so much noise I thought a bearing was going out. But all it needed was a belt replacement. They did that while I waited in their showroom where instead of new vehicles I saw a fine collection of restored vintage Chevrolets from 1923 into the 1960s.

If you have old Chevrolets, other old Chevrolets will find out where you live.

Unfortunately there are not many dealers like Owens Chevrolet and they are an endangered species. Good old fashioned service where the customer is the top priority has been replaced with the profit motive and self promotion. It is all not the fault of the dealers as we customers are falling into that same pit when we don't go out of our way or spend the extra couple of $$$ to reward excellent service.

How Sweet the roar of a Chevy four!
