Hey Gator! Lil' Johnny is correct. You should be pursuing this clown for mail fraud. If you don't, he will continue to rip off other dedicated hobbyists also. The word is spreading around the hobby about Mike, but you still need to continue on with the mail fraud issue, especially if you have all of the paper work and etc. to back you up.

By the way, I just heard through the grape vine that other individuals have also had the same problem that you have as well. What a way for Kessler's to end up because they were, for many, many years, one of the best people to do business with in the Chevrolet hobby! Good luck with your efforts! laugh laugh laugh laugh

I don't think Lawrence Kessler would tolerate dishonesty if he knew about it.

A friend called Lawrence and Arna this morning concerning a parts order that was not received. Apparently Lawrence was not aware of any problems but told him that he would look into it. I suggest contacting Lawrence Kessler if you have a complaint. I don't have his home number but you should be able to get it. He lives in Olney, IL. Or maybe someone has the number.

Here is the final news brief on my "quest for the rings":

A gentleman who read about my problem and who had done business with Kessler's for over 30 years emailed me. He gathered all of the facts and called the orginal Mr. Kessler, several days later I got the parts via the big brown truck. THANK YOU, SIRS!! To all of the others who have helped and given me surport, I give you my thanks. There is a bond of help and friendship between people who love old chevys.

This has been a very strange journey for me, even with the positive ending of my getting the parts, I still feel that something else has been lost by me, you, and others.

So as I stated in my posting, my final opinion would be "...I guess the new management was just slow in getting my order to me..."

Good going gator! Glad that you finally got your stuff, and a big thanks to the gentleman that helped you to achieve that goal of getting your parts. laugh laugh

There is a big difference between "slow" and uncooperative. Mike was not slow, he was totally uncooperative!  :( :(

Gator, I'm glad someone with some pull with the original owner staightened out this big mess. I'm sure the stuff is going to hit the fan if and when he (Mr. Kessler) talks to the people ruining his good name he worked hard to achieve. Gator you're right, something is lost. Trust. Eventhough things worked out for you, I can't trust the new owners and won't ever recommend them to anyone. Sounds harsh, but they and others have to figure out that one can't do business like this AND people that have gotten taken MUST stand up for themselves and spread the word. Taking someone's money and then saying they refuse to send the item or refund the money is unexcusable. This was far from a misunderstanding or mix up of some kind, it was delibrate. I don't call almost getting ripped off a good deal. Once again, I'm glad thing worked out for you.
p.s. after all of this, are the rings correct?

Are these the same rings made by Al Severyn?

Hello all,

Figured I'd put in my 2 cents worth here. It truly is a shame that what sounds like it used to be an honest company has been turned over to a real jerk (not the word I wanted to use, but I'm toning it down for here).

Hahn does not seem to care one way or another if he does the business or not. He waited two and a half weeks to put my id tag I bought into the mail, and charged me 8X the cost as a 'shipping' charge. My phone calls to him went without reply, e-mail was even worse, and he was absolutely horrendous to deal with on the phone, actually hanging up on me when I told him that if I did not receive the item I would seek redress through Paypal and Ebay.

I hope that he is not a VCCA member. Every member I have met so far has been wonderful to deal with, very interested in making sure that these old beauties get back on the road. Hahn just doesn't give a damn.

Gator, I'm glad you got your rings. The tactics he tried to pull don't surprise me from my dealings with him. I won't let that happen anymore.

Gator, make sure you report this joker to the U.S. mail inspectors. He used the U.S mail to defraud you & that is a crime. You can also file a complaint with the F.B.I. internet fraud unit.
I imagine you will never see the parts but, if you file the complaints at least this guy is on record as a bum & maybe people in the future wont be victims of his scam. If he gets enough complaints the inspectors will knock on his door. mad mad
