If it has a single exhaust outlet it is NOT 1928. If it has two exhaust outlets into a single pipe the HEAD is 1928, but the block may be earlier. If it has side covers it is most likely 1928 also. To be exact: read the dates on the block and the head. Walt is correct on the maximum reading on the oil pressure gages for the 1927/28. Can't verify the average reading listed. Both the 1927 and 1928 engines use the same oil pump, and oil distribution valve assembly.
