On a '26 Superior V, how are the doors assembled? Is the wood assembled inside the skin? I had a very hard time removing the old wood, in fact I had to break it apart where it was rotted. Looking at the door skin, I have no idea how it goes back together. Also the bottom piece of metal that holds the skin to the wood is pretty far gone. Any idea would be greatly appreciated

The wooden frame is assembled and then the sheet metal is nailed on to the door frame.

The door skins are indeed nailed to the assembled wood frame. The bottom panel and regulator board can be screwed on later. You will need to bend a couple of edges back to get the sheet metal over the wood and then tap it back in place prior to nailing. I suggest fitting the wood to the door opening or make sure it is square and fits the profile of the front and rear door posts before screwing and gluing. I also suggest hanging the door on the front door post before fitting the wood further back in the body. It is not too difficult if you pay attention to what you are doing.
