HI ALL, ACCORDING TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER FORCAST WE MAY SEE POSSIBLE THUNDER STORMS FROM THE 2-4. I HOPE THIS DOES NOT AFFECT THE EVENTS TOO MUCH?
ANYONE KNOW IF THERE ARE PRECAUTIONS IN PLACE SHOULD THIS OCCUR?

I didn't mean to sound smart (or dumb) but I have never been to a meet where it didn't rain.

I may stop in the drought stricken south-west where they really need rain..the rain always follows me when I take a trip.

At least we won't have rain and then sun with 100% humidity like we had in Nashville....I like that 20% humidity out that way. wink ...If its like the rest of Colorado they have an afternoon thunder storm almost every day.

You are welcome to drive by here on your way up back either, We are leaving Thursday Via DFW, there is a possibility of showers Thursday and Friday. Do you think it would do any good to wash and polish the old car? It will be on an open trailer, so there is a good chance of rain along the way.

Donald, I see your high temp in Seattle is higher today than the high in Dallas Fort Worth, that is odd.
That old car never has leaked and it has been in it's share of rain (Branson, Mo. SST)

Well, an update. Today as we waited on the wrecker(Dotties Wrecker Service- from Seargent,Co.) almost to the top of the summit of Monarch Pass on highway 50 -West bound Mile marker 201), it hailed so much it covered the ground and the cars, then it rained, temp was 42 degrees. The wreckerdriver almost passed us by,because we told them a blue truck with red trailer with a chevrolet on it. Everything was white by the time the wrecker arrived.
So we had to flag him down.
Brother MRMACK and Darlene were champs to help us through that experience.
Everything turned out fine, truck got fixed and we are on our way again.
Now what kind of weather do you think we will have?

Marion! Sure was good to see you and Janneta. We had a great(super great) time there, especially helping brother Mack on the Grand Mesa Tour. For a while there I thought that mountain was gonna get the best of my old 31, but she came through with flying colors. Any members that didn`t get a chance to be there sure did miss a great meet. The weather was super nice and myself and your cousin Bill sure did meet alot of very nice people. I did not hear one negative comment from anyone. Mr Mack and Darlene are to be complimented for all the hard work they did to make everything happen. Also Chip Sweet and Bill Bradford. The car show was well organized as were the seminars and the banquet which was especially nice. I finally got a chance to meet and talk with Al & Rita Severin who are in there 80`s and drove their 30 coupe all the way from Cleveland, Ohio. What a neat couple. I am already looking forward to the next Anniversary Meet in St. Joseph, Missouri. yay yay yay yay

Hoppy, You and Bronco(sitting bull)Billy and the others that worked in the cold and rain were great help! It couldn't have been done quite as well without all of you , even if our fearless leader didn't give any credit at the banquet, I reckon he thought you all would rather leave the festivities and hit the sack rather than hear our names called out. Who knows?

The sad news about Jim Hickman overshadows what ever else we come up with. Jim was someone that gave much more than he took from our club. he worked as a trouble truck man , riding with Chip on the Grand Mesa Tour, I remember him for his constant smile and his bright shining eyes.....
