The registration form lists the "Offical Selling Days" as Mon,Tue,Wed,...9:00 till 4:00 PM...Wednesday is judging day so I can assure you that there will be no/few swappers out that day. From past experiance the vendors come out in force the days/s that there is the least other activities. They kind of play it by ear.
Looking at the activities planned for Mon and Tue. (day time) I would guess that either day would be equal...I probably would lean toward Tue. as some vendors may be arriving on Monday.(and I'll pick-up the bargins on Monday) laugh

41 SPECIAL DLX

I wouldn't get to excited about the Swap Meet in Grand Junction if it's any thing like the previous National Meets I've attended. Sure they're all Chevrolet people and generally they bring good stuff, but their numbers are few by most Swap Meet standards. I'd say 20 to 30 vendors would be considered a large turn out for this event based upon previous National Meets. Lets hope I'm wrong and the numbers of vendors are much larger than previous events.

If you're registered for the meet, that's great. But If you're traveling from California just to attend the Swap Meet function, it could be a disappointment for you.

I received my vendor pass this week and the letter said they had 26 vendors registered at that time.

Well, that's a good start. Maybe there will be 50 or so by that time. I've been to gas bashs that had only 6 vendors....Joe

I don't care if there are only 25 vendors as long as 24 of them have what I want or need, and if it ain't for a Chevrolet, and won't work on a Chevrolet then I don't need it!!!!

Hey Mack! Can you tell me what`s involved in the Field Entrance Checks? I noticed there are two scheduled, one on the 3rd & 4th, and the tours are Thursday the 6th.

Chip, I need a set of replacement cross shaft bushings for a 1928 National AB sedan (the ones on the ends where the shafts mount to the side members) and a set of cross shaft anti rattle springs part # 353895.

Hoppy, in addition to checking the car for proper road worthy operation and I think a fire extingusher is required and maybe a proof of insurance card. This probably will be done when the picture is taken for the G&D Anniversery meet issue, but I am not for sure.

mack do you have a spare cross bar for the 28 if you do i can machine new bushings out of brass . i was thinking about making them in two pieces so you dont have to take the arm off the end . but that can be done . and the price is right . push

Push I don't have a spare but I could measure the ones on the car right next to the bushing. They aren't loose, the problem is that they bind up in the bushings so bad I have to use an 8" stillson wrench to free them up about every time before I take the car out, the one that is worst is the one to the rear brakes. I think maybe the original material is corrodeing up. I would certainly meet your price for a couple of split ones machines from brass. after we get back from G.J. I intend th put the car on the lift and work her over from the flywheel back to the rear end, don't think it will take much, the tranny don't leak and the clutch is real smooth, Mainly I will put a new Verlyn throw out bearing, new sealed bearings and bushings in the transmission, and in the axles I have two good spare transmissions. We want to take the 28 to Kerrville this fall tour and then to Fin & Feather next spring tour.

We probably will need the get away speed of the 68 for the Joint tour in DFW. I would not reccommend a 50 mph car for that tour! There are some crazies around that neck of the woods. You know that Arlington bunch! Ha!

Misty, What all do you need? I took one out of a 51 BelAir it needs restored. The leads were not any good. I also took the rear quarter mount antenna off, the lead likewise was no good. The other 51 BelAir I am restoreing won't have a rear seat speaker, I have a co-pilot front passenger seat person to listen to full time!
