Hi,

Just want to warn you guys to behave yourself for the next two weeks or so. Several of us will be departing to Sioux Falls, South Dakota for the National 4-cylinder meet.

Try to keep it clean and civil. Keep the playhouse in order so we will not have too much work to get it back in order when we return.

Amen! We promise to not have too much fun either. Anyone want to buy a bridge? It is over 100 year old and carries lots of revenue generating traffic.

Hey Dudes! For those of you who like to bid on the Chevrolet stuff on eBay, now that Chipper Dipper will be gone for the next couple of weeks you don't have to worry about him bidding on every Chevrolet item listed. Now the rest of you guys will have a chance to bid. Go for it! ha ha! wink laugh laugh laugh

Laptop being warmed up. Get ready guys. Now if there just was something worth bidding on.

Also if you guys think that the old moderator will not be watching what you are posting, think again. The edit/delete button works on the road too.

The main reason why old Chipper has a laptop is because he is taking bugleing lessons on the internet.

Boy Howdy! I do hope the classes "Take" this time! we don't need any more of those...ZZZZEEERRRRQQQQEEESSS!, EEEEEKKKKS! or SSSSQQQQUUUAAAKKKKEEEKKKSS! on the tours!

Ok, guys and gals have returned from 4 banger tour. It was hot and windy both on the tour route and in the parking lot between. Great tour location. Visited three states part on 1920s roads (gravel). Despite several critical breakdowns most if not all had a blast. Even had one participant replace the lost babbitt in a rod with leather from a belt. It worked! Drove the car with four occupants for many miles without any further problems. Article should be in the G&D in ~6 months.

Chipper,...I hope they soaked the leather in MMO first, that would make it more durable than babbit! Ha!!!!

Did old pushrod survive the trip?

Just as I expected. Logged in, and read just a few entries, and sure enough, the forum is out of hand.

Think I will rest about 24 hours and return and see what we can do about getting the train back on the track.

Oh! The National 4-cylinder Tour was a blast. Great to see the crew once each year. And for the weak at heart, we did 175 mile tours in a day, and was ready for the next day. Total for the Passport was 375.
