Recieved my Sept. G&D yesterday which was an event in itself as it usually does't come until the 10th of the month.Really enjoyed the excellant article about the 2002 Southern Spring Tour.Brought back the great times we all had but I wonder who that Courtney guy is that couldn"t get into his room and were some other of the Texas people trying to keep him away??? The Bradfords are to be congratulated for the great tour they AND their helpers had planned.Anxiously waiting for the 2003 version. And dig the picture of that '39 Chev on page 17.It even has a Wiscosin lic. plate. yipp auto

Golly C.N. I wondered about that myself! Probably one of those Texicans! I think that old broke muffler car ended up Towing a broke axle 28 to the picture takeing. Have you heard any news about the 2003 Tour?
I noticed the 39,there were many nice cars, but that 39 is a real beauty.

...And I noticed you graduated from a shade tree to a backyard mechanic!

Got the G&D yesterdays mail. Jean got so much negative feedback from delayed mailing of previous issue she got this one out early.

Some preliminary work has been done on 2003. Site looks like Nacatoches, LA (pronounced Nacatish) area. Anyone else want to help get it set up?

No, the bugle was not judged just the sound! Never got the results but, they took up a collection for lessons. You figure. The bugle was evaluated for certification in HPOMIF. It is similar to HPOCF. It certified in all areas including patina.

Just thought that if the JYD were to attend the 2003 SST then Donald would have to stand guard 24/7. You know them luzana gaters would just love some tender NW meat. Da local mutts are too fast and alert.

Reminds me of the reason most luzana hunt'n dogs gots short tails.

Luzana gators are a piece of cake for the old Junkyard Dog. He can eat them up for breakfast with one paw while opening a six-pack with another paw and playing with his Elvira blow up doll with the other two paws. No problem! Heck... in OrWeGone we gots gophers way bigger than them there Luzana gators!  laugh laugh laugh laugh

I was going to raz MrMack last week about the muffler but decided not to. I will ask though, were you one the guys refusing to eat dinner inside and have your wife bring out your meal so you wouldn't miss out on the axle changing lesson? As for the bugle lessons donation, if you only got $8.45 you must be pretty good and don't need much help. Right?
I was wondering why my G&D came late last month and early this month. I usually get my issue by the first few days of the month. I had to wait until the 10th!!! Thought it was lost in the mail. But then got the new issue on the 24th so all fine now. Guess one could add getting your G&D a week earlier than a lot of other people a southern California perk! laugh
29Chevy, were you hot enough on Sunday? News said it was 108* in El Cajon and now I'm glad I moved away from there to Imperial Beach.

There was a note in the July G&D that the Aug. issue could be a little late.......When I run parts ads the phone will start ringing on the 1st of the month. It will be the Calif. people calling. Then day by day calls come in slowly working east.Yes,it is a perk .Many do not recieve their copy for another two weeks. <img border="0" alt="[twix]" title="" src="graemlins/twix.gif" />

BG 48 After three of us took J.G's Surburban and trailer and loaded the 28' and came back Several started on the job of "Directing?" the repair job, I was fortunate enough to get to drive the ladies in to town for dinner, and the Ladies were kind enough to bring the "Boys" back some dinner.
The muffler was damaged and jerked off from the exhaust pipe due to the extreme slope of the parking lot where I unloaded, a Muffler shop near by fixed it up in fine shape for the tour the next day. auto ok

And man you are too kind about the music lesson money......... We figured he would have to start out with the basic bugleing course, maybe with a Cub Scout Pack!, We did not see sending good money after BAD!

Unfortunately I did not get to eat until after the job was done. I kept going back to the truck or trailer to get jack, jack stands, tools, drinks, chairs, etc. We managed to get served in the lodge just before closing.

I will take the 5th on the bugle lessons and need for them. Suffice it to say that the bugle is used to get attention and signal departures, etc. and it works!

Your old bugle is only for Texicans since they have to be led around like cattle. Now us OrWeGoneians are smart dudes and we don't need no stupid bugle to get our attention. We's uses Elvira and she has no problem gettin' our attention! Besides, her two bugles are waaaaaaay nicer looking than your old dented up Texican bugle!  laugh laugh dance
