When I got my car it had a top on it that was in pieces, I don't think the top had been put up in over 30 years. I replaced the few pieces of wood that needed replacing and put a new top on it from Hampton Coach a few years back.

On the floor in the rumble seat was a top boot the same color, texture of the top, I used it once or twice but it had shrunk too much for all of the snap buttons to close. It also had some holes where the down top had worn thru the material.

The problem is "How do I figure out if this is an original top or something made later by a trim shop?" If original I would give it to Hampton Coach to use as a pattern. Are there any little details I can could look for on the top that might have been left out by a later trim shop?
