Hi VCCA,

For the 1929 1-1/2 ton truck I need to refill the differential and transmission with 600w gear oil, but I have no information about the required volume of gear oil that will be required. So, I am not sure how much to purchase from the F.S. Do you know the volume, or can you point me to a source of information?

I looked in the Chevrolet Repair Manuals, International Model Series AC-LQ for both 1929 and 1930, and found no volume information.

Thank you.

Respectfully, Norm

Hello NormanCushing,
The recommended quantity is given in The Filling Station description of VT-40 600W Gear Lubricant. Click on the product to read the full description and recommendation for 1-1/2 ton 4-speed.

Hello Harrys31coach,

You taught me a valuable lesson, that being to open the full description and read the fine print.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction and the life-lesson. :-)

Respectfully, Norm
