When I first got my ’38 Master Town Sedan, the trunk area was covered in a burlap-like cloth. It was very rotted and there was not enough of it left to make a pattern. Would this have been the original trunk material? I would love to see some pictures of your trunk lining, especially if it is original or redone like the original. Thanks in advance for your pictures and comments.

The liner in my business coupe was a thick paperboard material. I have no clue as to what the Town Sedan left the factory with. It's possible it was the same paperboard covered with the burlap material?

Thanks, Tiny. So yours was cowlboard? As I mentioned, mine was very rotten, but I don't think it had anything besides the burlap. I suppose mine could have been changed before I got it.

I have a 39 with the original burlap material intact and can take a picture if you think it would help. It has a red pattern in the material.

Thanks, Tiny. I didn't even realize the email was incorrect until Jim questioned it earlier in this thread. It should show up correctly now.

The 1937 trunk has a shelf with the spare tire under it.
The 1938 has no shellf and spre tire is mountes to the back of the trunk
Makes for more luggage space.

That's Yahoo mail so it's probably correct. I believe there should be a .com at the end.

Here is the 39 picture. I remember it being more red but it may have changed color in 50+ years and my memory did not keep up.

The 1938 is plain brown burlap. The floor is plain ribbed black rubber. The back of the trunk is black heavy cardboard.
