Gotta go to the car show this weekend, 283 w/Rochester 2GC, all of a sudden won't idle, mid/hi speed ok. Took top off all ok, plugged all vacuum ports, fresh gas, new fuel filter?? Thanks

The first thing I would try with the aircleaner off start it and then bring the speed up to 2 or 3 thousand rpm the manually shut the choke, let the choke open before it dies. The high vacuum will often times suck the crud out of the idle circuit. You may have to repeat it a few times. Back when I had the shop and carburetors were still around it was a common problem.
