Te bearing its self is not greased.
the grease is applied to the inner surfaces of the beaing that contact the front bearg retqainer sleve. The grease aplied to the inner recsess of the bearing and lubed the sliding surface between the bearing and snout of the front bearing retaier. A high temp. grreas such as wheel bearing grease was required.
This is for 1938 and up with the ball bearing type T.O. bearing.
