Was there an accessory underhood lamp made for the 1948 Fleetmaster? If so is there any photos of what it looked like and where it was placed? I am assuming they did not have mercury on-off switches made in those days so did they use a switch similar to a door jam switch that when the door is opened that the dome light comes on or a glove compartment switch working in the same fashion? Would such an underhood lamp be wired the same way?

I screwed-up, go back and look at the links again. The second one shows where it is mounted.
