Hello,
I need new front drums for my 48 Fleetmaster. Chevs of the 40's and Filling Station don't have them and don't know who makes them. Any suggestion? I don't know if they can be turned or refurbished.

The drums fit various 1936 to 1948 Chevrolet cars and Chevrolet trucks up to 1954. They are beig reproduced.

I've seen the rear drums, but not the fronts.

Front and rear are the same.

Are you sure they're the same? Are the part numbers different in the book because the fronts come as a riveted assembly to the hub, but the drum itself is the same??

The hub does not come riveted to the drum It is necessary to chop off the rivets and reuse the hub. You then bolt the hub and drum to gether or leave it unbolted as Chevrolet did in 1960.

Check with Napa. JIm Carter Truck parts. Ebay Also see if they can be turned. I had the front ones on my 46 pickup turned.
