I have a 53 chev(bel-air),My problem is the 7 wires under by the steering column,,,Doe's anybody know how they are re-hooked-up,,I hooked em' up like my other 53 and they crackled underneath,,,Any answers wiil B-helpful-Thank-you!!!

Hi 53bel-air,

Assuming you are in reference to the direction signal harness the code is as follows:

1. White to stop light switch
2. Pink to LH stop lamp
3. Purple to RH stop lamp
4. Yellow to light terminal on the flasher
5. Light blue to Right front turn signal and dash indicator
6. Dark blue to Left front turn signal and dash indicator.
7. Black to power source.

All of these wires go to connectors under the edge of the dash and it is simply a matter of matching the color to color wire. Agrin
