I'm restoring a 1926, Superior K Tourer, and the windscreen wiper motor(electric 6 volt), is not working. Would someone please let me know whether or not that this is an original and where I can get a replacement or details to repair it.

The wiper on a '25-6 Superior K tourer was definately was not electric. I don't believe that the K open cars had wipers. I can't find one in any of the period parts books. How 'bout it Ray?

Roadsters and Tourings were void of wipers and rear view mirrors.

So what should I do? Put back the retrofit wiper motor or restore it to the original? Would someone help me out with the original arrangement and let me have some details

Hi Peter,

I think your question was answered. Your car didn't have a windshield wiper.

Peter, since you are probably not a VCCA show type restorer, and you want to put the wiper in order, you may want to repair the one that was on your car or check with J.C. Whitney for another electric one. A 12 volt will work but somewhat slower and won't last too long, but how long will you need it to work, probably just long enough to go thru the car wash? don't forget bigl bigl bigl to put the top up! LOL bigl bigl
