Hi
i have 2 235 engines what is the better engine?
how much HP
I'm finding 120 to 140

this one was rebuilt some time ago
removed the valve cover and side cover and it has no buildup its also solid lifters
engine 38336233
head 3836848
025279IF55Z
CON4 A215

I have to go today to the storage to get the Vin number but I remember it being a 57engine
it was put in to a 4 door 48 that i picked up for a parts car

There is no such number as 38336233.....but there is a 3836233 and is a 1955-1957 235.
The 3837004 is also a 235 from a 1955-1957.
The "848" head was used from 1956-1962 and had various compression ratios from 7.5 to 8.25 to one depending on the year and how much the factory milled it.
Various camshafts were used and determined HP also as did ADVERTISING.
