I have a 1941 Chevy Special Deluxe. I’m ready to fire the engine up after a long restoration process. My “new “ remote starter switch won’t turn the engine over (it does crank over from inside the car). What wire goes where for the remote starter switch? Thank you for your help; I feel stupid for asking such a simple question, but I have to start somewhere. Bob

Hopefully someone will jump in and correct me if I am heading you in the wrong direction.

I doubt if your remote starter switch will work on a 1941 Chevy. Unless I missed something that car has a mechanical starter switch. There is no solenoid that you energize to send power to the starter.

When you step on the starter pedal in the car you mechanically close the contacts at the starter. That sends electricity to the starter motor and to the solenoid that engages the starter drive.

My "remote starter switch" is a length of 1x2, wedged between the firewall and starter linkage. With one end wedged against the firewall, bring the other end forward, moving the linkage until the starter engages.
