Ihave a 1931 chev roadster and a 1939 buick coupe. Through this mediam it is posible to get any info needed about chevies. I need info for my Buick rebuild and wonder if there is a similar club for buick guys. Anywa my problem is trying to locate a mechanical fuel pump for a 1939 buick special (348 ci). I have seen one sourc that says that model buick uses the same fuel pump as 1937 to 1948 chevrolets. Anybody know anything that will hel me? There is the Buick Club of America. They use Web Site space provided by AACA. You can go to WWW.aaca.org, select forums, and page down to the various areas of the Buick Club of America.

New fuel pumps are available from Kanter -The double action pump used on your Buick is $95.00 plus core .........The 1937-51 Chevrolet double action pump is $75.00....www.kanter.com...(your Buick Special has a 248 engine - not 348)...The pump is different from Chevrolet. The only buick pump that interchanged with a Chevrolet was the 1934-35 Series 40 was the same as a 1934 Chevrolet.I did reply to your question last Sat.
