Here is one for all of you with 216's out there. Most of you have either the one with a glass fuel bowl on the top or the one without the glass fuel bowl. Here is some advice for you. If you go to most of the truck or car restoration places they will charge you $52.00 for the pumps. Try this next time. Go to Hi-Lo O'Reilly Auto parts and ask for a Carter M-751. It's a Federal Mogul glass bowl pump exact to the original and the best part is it cost $34.00 dollars. In fact this is the same pump offered by all the restoration places they just mark it up. Good Luck Fellows. Hi-Lo has found pumps for all my vehicles also.

Hello! Helloise!I thought I would relay this helpful hint to the site:
When you see a good piece of information like the one above from MudBug of La. I e-mail it to myself and then put it into a folder I named VCCA Chat. But it is eaiser to select the text and paste it into an email message to yourself then place it in an email folder. ( store it on your email page, or save it to your (my Documents) chevy dance ...... if you have a lot of disk space.
