My Del Ray has vacuum windsheild wipers and manual brakes. I'd like to consider upgrading both. Will this hurt the original value of the car very much? I don't ever plan to sell it, but I want to keep it as original as possible, but safe for cruising with the family.

Power brakes (thought about discs, but sounds too involved)

Electric wipers (what brand have y'all tried? original parts widely available?)

Neither the eletric wipers or the FACTORY power brakes will hurt the value of your 1958 6 cylinder. Both were factory options. yipp
