Steering wheels from what years are the same or compatible with the 36 Standard?

According to my 1929 - 34 Chevrolet Master Parts Price List the original 1933 Standard (CC) wheel is part number 473250 where as the original 1934 Standard (DC) wheel is part number 375322, so originally the 33 Standard had a slightly different steering wheel then the 1934 Standard.

The 1929 - 40 Master Price List shown the 1933 - 1936 Standard (CC, DC, EC, and FC) wheel as being part number 375322, so at some point Chevrolet did away with the original 1933 CC steering wheel as a replacement and went strictly with what was originally the 1934 - 36 version.

So if you are looking for a wheel that was original to the 1936 Standard, I would not use a wheel originally from a 1933 Standard as it will be slightly different unless the wheel had been replaced at some point in the cars life.

Good catch there Vila. I was going to post what you said. The original 1933 Standard wheel is 1" smaller in diameter than the 34 to 36 wheel. The larger version, 34-36, is available from the Filling Station....Joe

Thanks Guys. I will make a note of this. I have the parts book but it on loan to a friend at the present. I should have waited to get it back
