I am looking at a 1951 1/2 ton with a VIN tag number of FC 10138549. How does this number decode?

Also, was it common practice at the assembly plant to use 216 passenger engines in some 216 1/2 ton engines?

Thanks,
Ken

The serial number on a 1951 1/2 ton truck will begin with JP.
Also the number do not compute.
The 216 engine in a 1/2 ton truck and car are the same except for the bell housiing and the fan blade.
