The owner's Manual says 5 quarts of oil. Do you add a quart with an oil filter of is it 5 quarts with an oil filter?

I have found that after filling with five quarts and running the engine a couple minutes and wait five more for drain back then to just add a little at a time until it comes to the full mark. Probably will be about half a quart.

Five Qts is you don'tchange the filer and six if you do change the filter. That will bring it o slightly above the full mark. If I remember correctly Wally said it did use a little oil on a highway trip.

Thanks Gene. Your answer is what I was thinking. Will change the oil and filter today. Will take the car on our first local tour on the 24th. Getting anxious to get back to old times.

I noticed while changing my oil my dip stick handle and tube are painted yellow. Is this correct of is this something the previous owner has done to help find it? I don't remember this from when we owned this car the first time.
