The driver side door sill plate has a cavity for the tail light wire harness. Was there also a metal support in there like on the passenger side?

According to the parts book there wasa "support plate" for all Deluxe models and for left and ringht side. The low priced Special models did not have a support plate because their sill plate was steel and not thin aluminum.

Was the drivers side support different than the passenger side? I do have one that fits the passenger side but it looks to small for the driver side.

It as a different part number and I believe the left may be wider.

Thanks. I will try to make something that will work. DO NOT want to damage the aluminum sills.
