I know it is common to swap out a 216 for 235. My question - is it possible to upgrade from 216 to a 70's era 250? If so what pitfalls are associated with it? The vehicle is a 1946 3100 pick up. The reason for considering a 250 is that one is available (dirt cheap). Functionality trumps dirt cheap so I'm asking the question before hand.
Thanks,
Bill

The 250 is longer and will not bolt-up to the 216 bell housing. aT THAT POINT THE ENTIRE DRIVELINE SHOULD BE UP-DATED.
