I know the topic has been exhausted but........Did the 1948 station wagon use the same jack as a passenger car and was it stored in one of the compartments under the middle seat?

The wagon used the same jack as a regular passenger car. I can find no mention as to where the jack and tools were stored.

Thanks Gene, I do have a canvas pouch full of tools in the compartment under the middle seat. I'm guessing that is where the jack is stored but will wait for verification. Mike

Actually there was no offical place for the jack in the regular passenger cars....until 1949.
