My 55 hardtop has wind noise at the upper part of the door windows. They have a rubber seal that runs the length of the inside of the flipper. Is there supposed to be an additional seal or seals at the front of the flipper?

I could be wrong but I do not recall any rubber strips inside of the flipper. Does it look like some thing some one stuck in there? What I do remember is some models had fuzzy strips.
Wind noise was quite common on hardtop models, even when new, so it may be a up-hill fight.

Thanks Gene, There is a small extra piece of rubber at the front on each side. The piece on the driver's side is more worn than the one on the passenger side. Someone looking at it recently thought there was supposed to be an extra seal there. In looking at Eckler's catalogue, I don't see such a seal.

Don't remember an extra seal but some have a rubber or plastic coating on the tab that closes the flipper. Maybe a little thicker piece would put more pressure on the glass and give a better seal.

Yes, that is a little nylon piece and is still available.

A part that appears to be nylon in Ekler's catalogue is called a "flipper tab". Possibly that's the part you are talking about. I think I need to replace all the rubber parts as well. Is there a diagram of this flipper assembly somewhere? I don't see it in the shop or assembly manuals.

Danchuck sells the 1955 flippers for $199 a pair, Also has the front rubber piece.
The flippers probably would be in the Fisher Body manual or bulletins.
