Looking for the correct original paint color codes for small block V8 (1955 thru ??). Specifically, looking for colors for 1955 Chev 265 V8 Engine:
1) Orange (majority of engine)
2) Blue (for original oil filter assembly)
If anyone knows these color codes, please let me know. Thanks a lot.

The 1955 Passenger car V8 engine is the common Chevrolet orange.The oil filter is bright blue "can" with orange lid if dealer installed or all black if factory installed.The orange lid uses blue lettering and the black has ivory colored lettering.Either are available indecal form.Color codes for orange paint should not be necessary as the paint is available from many sorces as Chevrolet engine orange.
