Was doing head gasket today and found my valve cover with pin holes due to rust from the inside out. Guess this head gasket has been bad for an extended period of time. Have tried Filling Station and Kantor to no avail. There was a man in Tx who deals in the line but can't come up with his name. Anyone know?

Just a thought: you could repair the pin holes with JB Weld from the inside and then paint the outside of the cover.

Condensation moisture from the engine rises to the top and collects on the underside of the unprotected valve cover. To get one repaired is rather expensive, $300 - $350. A few years ago a hot rodder brought an early 29 engine with a NORS valve cover on it to the Portland Swap Meet. I bought what he had for $200, kept the valve cover and gave the engine to a friend with a conv land sedan as a spare. Other than when they had Dick Davies estate sale that is the only 29 valve cover I have seen for sale at any swap meet in the 15 years I have had my coupe. They are just not around.
