Recently changed out rear end from 4:11 to a 3:55 gearing. Is it possible to get an adaptor to go on to stock 3 speed transmission to give some what a speed reading?

Yes check on line for speedometer ratio adapter and a number of them will show up. When I put the 3.55 gears in our 49 pickup I had a 1.11 adaptor that got the speedo real close.
