I'm trying to identify a 283 engine that came in my 1955 Chev.
No harmonic balance, just a pulley.
Block casting # 3834812
Date code G313
Stamp pad F0827D

Head casting # 3795896
Date code H283

Two barrel intake manifold casting # 3840906
Casting # H213

Cast number on waterpump is 3771. There maybe another number under the crude.

Engine ran well No blue smoke, but no idea of oil consumption because of how much it leaked.

Does it have value, or should I just scrap it? Some of this stuff has to go! Thanks

It is a 1963 283. Value? Not much.
