Hi - Finally a little spring weather, and I'm trying to button up my 235 in my '55 Bel Air. I have a few questions, but I'll separate them into 3 posts for simplicity.

1st question - what is the correct hardware to fasten the valve cover to the head? I have football shaped washers, 1/4" bolts (like the oil pan), and flat headed 1/4" screws at my disposal. The car had the footballs and 1/4" bolts, but I'm thinking it should have had the screws (with or without footballs?). Here's a photo of the contestants:

Thanks, Joe

Just the slotted screw is correct.
