I thought this one was the one who bought the outfit back from the crook, completed his incomplete orders and refunded some of the payments for unfulfilled orders. The info was given to me by his neighbor who says he can't keep up with the work and ships all over the world.

I contracted Kris to do mats for my 1933 Standard which have never been reproduced. Kris told his mats would be 90 to 95% correct. I waited a full year. I even sent a NOS mat for reference. The product he sent was nice & usable for a non restoration type car. The ribs were cut into the mat instead of protruding. It was also 8 ribs short of the original. What he does is uses flat stock & mills it out which is backwards of the original. Then he glues edging down. He then embalms the mat. He tried to tell me my mat was not original & he has made many sets for 1933 to 1935 Chevrolets & he says he just won't be able to do them for 1933 Standards. I indicated if his other 33 to 35 mats are cut the same then he couldn't make those either as the design is the same. I told him if I would've know his product to 40 to 50% of the original, I wouldn't have used his services. He's pretty expensive but I felt I had no other choice. I now have another option which will be less money & will be able to produce several sets. It is not my intent to slam Kris but I think we here need to know.....Joe
