We drove our '55 Bel Air from OK to ABQ today along Historic Route 66 and I-40. We managed to avoid the rain and wind from the severe weather aftermath of Odelia. Lots of tractor trailer traffic and looky loos. Had several pull along side for photos and grins with thumbs up. (guess I know how the gorilla feels like at a zoo now) carbana
Betty Boop performed great! She got a tad hot on the climbs, but hustled along like she likely had many times before. Couldn't help wondering how many times she'd seen the same scenery before. If these old buggys could talk.... wow
Took pics at The Route 66 Museum in Clinton, OK, The Conoco Station at Shamrock,Tx. The Blue Swallow in Tucumcari, NM and in ABQ. May post some later.

I loved that stretch of the road earlier this year!!! In case you haven't heard, we are already talking about doing it again in a year or so.

Pretty cool Bill. Thanks for sharing. As a gas & oil collector also, I really love the old stations...Joe
