I matched mine up with a regal red rustoleum brand in the quart, not the spray can
works great, just paint it on and use steel wool to get off the excess, you can do this a fast as you can tape it, its really easy to do once you get the hang of it. rustoleum is a real tough paint also I did mine in 2002 and have washed my 41 many times and it has help up well
make sure no grease is on the stainless or the chrome.

Hey 1439,

I think Chevs of the 40\'s has it.
Item 306567. It is One Shot Lettering Enamel and it is high quality paint. It flows really well.

If you wish to make a lasting job, it is recommended that you mask off the area (grove)to be painted, and either glass bead or sand blast the area first.

For a "quickie" you can us striping tape.

Hey Antique Mechanic,

Did it come bead or sand blasted from the factory?

I used striping tape on my '41 grill and trim. It looks as good or better than paint and a whole lot easier. Seems like everytime I use paint I make a mess. Chev of the '40's has lettering paint in red and blue to use around Special Deluxe on the hood and hub caps. Also Chevrolet emblem on the front of the grill.
