I am envious of your tour. Not because of where it's at but rather the fact that it's for 29-36. The Eastern 6 Cyl Tour is also next week ( Vt and NH) and it's a great group that has many returning participants. It is however open to all six cylinder cars from 29-54 and many cars are in the later end of the spectrum. There will be over fifty cars racing thru the backwoods and mountains of Vt. and NH.

Yep. I went to Dick Olson's home on Tuesday and test-drove his '36. It drives just like my '36!!! Boy, oh boy. Are we ever going to kick some butt this year!!!

There is a huge difference between 1936 and... say... 1931. I'm looking forward to being in the front of the pack for once!! We don't need no stinkin' downshift for hills!!!!

I have not had a problem being in the front of the pack with my 32, but it is a little scary when going downhill knowing that I have limited braking power so it is best to know when to downshift. When I went from driving the 32 to my 51 it was like jumping into a modern car.

Enjoy your tour!!

Are you driving your '36 on the tour, Bill?? I hope you're planning on writing a journal of the week again. There will be lots to read on this site next week!

There is a world of difference between a 1936 Standard and Master. The Standard rides and steers like a 1931. The Master rides and steers like a 1941.

Brewster...

You've given me an idea. Maybe we need another forum which is dedicated to only posting photos of VCCA Events and Tours.

Hummmm......
