I have a few drops of oil dripping out of my road draft tube when it is stopped. There is no smoke coming out of the tube when idling, and nothing from the filler cap on the valve cover.
Is there maybe a baffle inside of that tube (When it comes out of the block) to stop this, or could the oil level be too high?
I tried to remove the tube assembly from the motor to have a look inside, but she's in there good. Any good tricks to getting it out? I have tried using a drift and hitting it out from the bottom and trying to grip the circular end with a pipe wrench to loosen it, but no dice.

The tube has and inner linning with holes that gets plugged with sludge. To remove the road draft tube unbolt bracket. Use a rubber hammer or place a piece of wood against the tube and strike with a hammer. Go front then back and over and over and it will loosen up. They used to fill the tube with gas and set it on fire to burn the sludge out because you can not actually see it. I don't think I would try this.
The hole in the block has a little shield over it on the inside of the block. It keeps the oil fromt splashing directly on the hole. Make sure this area is clear also.

I finally got the tube out, but after several attempts and a bunch of skinned knuckles, I got it out , with the aid of an engine crane, a strap and a little upwards "pre-load".
I had a look down the hole, and Chev Nut, you were right, no baffle. I can see one of the camshaft lobes, and on my spare engine, I can see the baffle. Instead of pulling the pan and installing a baffle (and making a lot of work for myself), I decided to make my own baffle and PCV vale fitting from the now much-bashed old road draft tube.
In case anyone is looking for a suitable tube to fit in the block draft tube hole, I found that the small block Chevy V8 oil breather cap tube (which is fitted to the inlet manifold), is a perfect fit. Saves you chopping up a good road draft tube.

If you hook up a PVC valve to the draft tube and have no baffle the vacuum will pull oil out and burn it,,.

I have made up a baffle using a couple of discs with holes in them, so the holes don't line up. I have welded them into the old cut-off original road draft tube, similar to a silencer as you would find in a motor mower exhaust. Hopefully the oil will hit the discs and drain back into the sump, but any fumes should find their way out.

"the fumes find their way out" will depend. Under hard acceleration blow-by is at it most and engine vacuum to suck-up the fumes is at zero.
