Mine is dripping at the large nut on the tube behind the tranny. Is this an easy fix?? ....I looked for the cork seal and saw one in a complete gasket package for the ball-universal joint area, but none alone.....also just behind the oil fill hole on the side of the tranny...maybe 1 1/2 inches behind....there is a small round 1/4 inch in diameter looking head of a metal pin flush with the side of the tranny housing. It`s weeping oil . What is it and is that something fixable without pulling the tranny? Thanks for input ~David

You can try to tighten the packing nut that is at the rear end of the ball tube. The original packing inside the tube was rubberized felt packing with a large squish washer on each side. This worked resonably well. New kits come with a hard cork seal and they dod not squish as easily. May require several tightenings.
Pin leaking oil? You could have a 1941 transmission case that had a bolt in that location and some one blocked it off with a pin of some type. The 1941-1948 had a bolt in that location that held the vacuum shift canister in place.
