Hi; I keep having a problem with my fuel gauge reading. I am on my 2nd one,it keeps reading past full. This the 2nd one was working fine for a while, but is now reading past full again, like the first one.The first burnt out, I found both wires to the gauge on the same terminal,on the gauge.Put new one in and worked for awhile. now it reads over full again.Could the gauge have been damaged? how can I find problem. Thanks Ed

When the gauge reads past full that would indicate a poor ground. Check to make sure the sending unit has a good ground and also the gauge for a good ground. If you disconnect the wire at the sending unit with the key on it should read past full, if you ground the wire that you took off the sending unit it should read empty with the key on, if it does then your problem is the sending unit or a poor ground at the tank.
